Leilany Benitez (she/they) is a pictorial artist from the Bay Area. After graduating at De Anza College with an Associate's in Graphic Design they began working as a T.A. at a preschool. They fell in love with teaching and sharing the joy of art-making with the next generation. Now Leilany attends San Jose State University working towards a Bachelor's in Studio Art, Preparation for Teaching.

Leilany's works use bright colors to display a range of narratives, their works draw from their own experiences. Much of their work revolves around relationships and their impact on our being. From relationships with ourselves, with others, and with the world around us. How have our lives been shaped by the people and environment we surround ourselves with? Leilany's art explores this question.

In their free time, Leilany enjoys gardening with their dad, cuddling with their cat, Domino, and baking.
